free and open to all
Death Café comes from an old concept of “Café Mortels” by Bernard Crettaz. Mr. Crettaz said that “nothing marks to community of the living like sharing food and drink.”
Death Café is an informal gathering to talk about life and living and death and dying over tea and cake. It’s a local Marfa popup of the global movement of Death Cafés.
Tea and cake are provided, but feel free to bring a snack to share if you’d like.
Pop in and leave anytime between 10am-noon.
Expect rich conversation, book recommendations, moving stories, and not a whole lot of small talk. :)
Hosted by Kate Manser at my private studio located inside the Methodist church (118 W. Washington)
